International Scholarships

Study Abroad

The Society offers two scholarship programs to assist students who plan to complete some of their course work outside of North America (Canada/United States).

The Irving K Barber BC Scholarship Society has suspended all of its international scholarship programs indefinitely. This suspension includes both the Premier’s International Scholarship, and the One World International Scholarship.

What You Should Know

One World International Scholarships of between $1,000 – $3,500 are awarded to students participating in study, or work-abroad programs that are either experiential learning opportunities (language or cultural training), or that provide credits toward the BC academic credential they are working towards.

Premier’s International Scholarships are $6,000 – $10,000 scholarships for credential granting study abroad and are awarded to students demonstrating exceptional academic achievement and a clear sense of how a globally literate citizenry impacts our society. Applications for this scholarship will be accepted until June 30, 2020.
